Meet Jim M.
by: Steve Brose
Jim started working at Indepak in February of 2002 as a millwright in our thermoforming department. His duties involve maintaining, troubleshooting problems, and repairing the manufacturing equipment in the company. He is especially skilled in fabrication of parts or special repairs. Jim enjoys the variety in his job and says he really likes his co-workers.
Jim was born in Spokane, WA. and grew up on a cattle farm close to Sprague in Eastern Washington. He moved to Portland in 1982 and has been a millwright since. He lives in Troutdale, Oregon which is close to Indepak. He has 2 sons and enjoys camping, rodeo's, and hunting in Idaho and Montana. Next to his boy's, Jim's border collie Mac is considered his best friend. In pervious years, Jim has won trophies and numerous belt buckles riding in the amateur class for bareback and bull riding along with roping. He has also raced motocross in the intermediate class, which is right below "Pro."
Jim says that Indepak's owners, Jan and Dave Aho, are "just the best people." He said he would feel that way whether he worked for them or not.
Co-worker comments:
"Jim has some great skills and it shows in his workmanship. He
isn't afraid to tackle any job."
"Jim is one of the best metal fabrication guys we have had here in a long time. He likes to cut it, weld it, build it, and then bolt it. That's what makes him a happy guy."
"He's a real asset to our department. He can work on most anything! Thanks Jim!"
Thanks for letting us feature you this month Jim. We appreciate your contribution to the production department at Indepak.
