Meet Mark M.
by: Steve Brose

Mark is one of Indepak's longest-term employees.  He just celebrated 20 years of service.  Mark worked part time for many years in various roles, but officially started full-time in June of 1982.  He progressed as a machine setup technician and is now a process engineer in our Engineering and Tooling Dept.  Co-workers rely on him for his vast technical knowledge of our thermoforming process.

Mark says he likes helping in each department and "pleasing his internal customers."  He especially likes working on new projects and finds their startup challenging.  He feels the employees in his area are "a great group of people."  Mark enjoys working at Indepak and appreciates the owners.

Mark was born in Portland, Oregon, grew up in Milwaukie, and now lives in Vancouver, Washington.  His hobbies include fishing, camping, hiking, and white water rafting.  He comes from a large family and is the middle sibling.

At our recent employee picnic, Mark was presented with a plaque, a gift basket of fishing gear, and a gift certificate for a weekend away to celebrate his 20 years of service to Indepak.

Co-worker comments:
"Technically, he's our machine setup guru.  He's innovative and if anyone can make it work it's Mark."

"Extremely helpful, answers questions, even-tempered, enjoy working with him."

"Teaches me quite a bit, explains the process, how the tooling works, wears, and how to fix it.  He's a good mentor."

Thanks for letting us feature you this month Mark.  You are a key person in our thermoforming process and many rely on your knowledge and skill.
