Meet Wanda H.
by Tammi Osburn
This month, the spotlight is on an employee who keeps returning to Indepak! Wanda started working for us in July of 1990 and left in September of 1997 to help her husband with their own business. In June of 1998, she returned in a temporary capacity and in September of the same year began working full-time. Wanda is a machine operator in our Thermoforming Department and really enjoys her job. Some of her favorite duties include the "first article" new parts she thermoforms, seeing new products develop, and computer data entry. She worked as a receptionist for 2-1/2 months when we had a temporary need. Wanda says, "Indepak is a good company to work for, a lot of fun, good challenges, and good people."
Wanda was born in Portland, Oregon and raised in the Carlton / McMinnville area. In her spare time she crochets blankets, embroiders, does cross stitch, and reads. She enjoys gardening and visiting family in Las Vegas. Wanda and her husband Gerald have three grown girls - one also works at Indepak. They hope to retire in Ontario, Oregon. They are planning a trip to Florida at the end of this year. They have never been to Florida and will make stops on the way at the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Arkansas and Missouri.
Co-worker Comments:
"Likeable and easy to work with, a good teacher."
"Whenever you feel down, she's concerned about your well being - she's a caring person and a good co-worker."
"She has a good sense of humor."
We appreciate your years of hard work and dedication, Wanda. Thank you for taking the time to let us put the spotlight on you.
