Meet Troy G.

Troy was hired in February of 2001 as a C.N.C. Tool Maker in our  Engineering and Tooling Dept.  He spends a great deal of time programming tooling data for the computer controlled machining centers.  He also prepares the metal for the machines and sets them up to run.  Troy enjoys his profession and likes the way his tooling group is organized.  He especially likes being able to work on a job from start to finish instead of just doing parts of a project.

Troy's schooling background included auto mechanics and machining until some of his projects got noticed.  He participated in vocational interaction with the community and was offered a job before he graduated.  He eventually applied for his current job at Indepak.  

Troy was born in Portland, Oregon and has lived in various places in the metro area.  He currently calls the central Oregon city of Bend home and commutes once a week back and forth to work.  During the week he lives in Hillsboro.  Troy says his weekly commute miles numbers 1,000!!  His home town of Bend offers things that support his many interests which include; skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, dirt bike riding, jet skiing, and building hot rods.

He says he really likes working at Indepak and that the owners' actions show they care about their employees.  Troy also really likes the variety in his job.  He says that things are always changing and he works on something different all of the time which is rewarding to him.

Co-worker comments:
"He's a great guy to work with!  He's always in a good mood!  "

"He's so nice to work with.  When you consider how ridiculous his commute is, you have to say he is dependable."

"Troy is so interesting.  Him and the guys in his tooling group all have many interests and hobbies.  He is very pleasant to talk to and work with."
