Meet Bill N.
by Tammi Osburn
Bill N. has worked at Indepak since 1986 as a Machinist/Tool Maker in our Tooling Department. He calls himself the "grandpa" of the department as he has worked there the longest in his group. He says "it's great working for Indepak," and enjoys the fact that he "can talk to the owners and upper management people" unlike other companies where they are not as visible or available.
Bill was born in Portland, Oregon and has spent most of his life here. He has also
lived in California and New York. He attended Portland Community College as well as
two colleges in California. He is celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary this year
and is hoping to go to Hawaii. Bill and his wife Jennie have two sons that are 17
and 21 years old. One is in High School and the other is a part time college
student. When Bill is not working hard as a machinist, he enjoys spending time with
his family, relaxing, camping, bowling, and the never-ending job of home maintenance.
Co-worker comments:
"Bill greets everyone who walks into the shop with a smile. It's almost
like he can tell if you are down and he makes an extra effort to be friendly and cheer you
up."
"He always finds something to do and doesn't have idle hands. He is always keeping busy and getting his work done. He is always willing to help other people."
"Bill never complains and keeps a stiff upper lip even when things are not going the greatest. He has a lot of Faith and Hope inside of him. Bill is a Godly man."
We appreciate your 14 years of hard work and dedication, Bill. Thank you for taking the time to let us put the spotlight on you this month.
