Meet
Cleo G.
by: Steve Brose
Cleo started working at Indepak in September of 2001 as a thermoforming machine operator in our Thermoforming Dept. Her duties offer a great deal of variety as the packages she helps produce change from day to day. She really likes her job, learning new things, and appreciates the help with a language barrier from her many co-workers and friends.
Cleo was born in Mexico and moved to Oregon 7 years ago. She has a large family of 5 sons, 4 daughters, 14 grandchildren, and has cared for all of them at one time! She is recognized as a good Abula which is Spanish for Grandmother! She lives in Fairview, Oregon and has a son who has lived here for 16 years.
Cooking is something Cleo is very good at. She cooked in the lunchroom of a company in Mexico as well as schools, weddings, and other businesses. She is an expert at ethnic food like tamales. Cleo's dream is to save enough money to return to Mexico and open her own eatery. She really likes to travel, especially flying between Mexico and the U.S. to visit family.
Cleo would like to thank everyone, especially her fellow workers at Indepak who have had patience and helped train her. She is slowly learning the language and has many people helping her.

giving surprise gifts. Very special!"
