Meet Bernd S.

Bernd was hired in June of 1996 as the Production Manager for our Thermoforming Department.  He came with 16 years of production management and engineering experience in the medical electronics industry.  His daily duties include scheduling jobs and employees duties in our manufacturing plant.  Bernd's sense of humor and practical jokes have become part of the healthy culture of our workforce.  He is also a member of Indepak's Operations Council.

Bernd was born in Oregon City, Oregon to German parents.  He was raised speaking both German and English languages and has an older brother and sister.  Bernd has been married to Destiny, his "stunningly gorgeous and caring wife."  He says he has 2 of the handsomest boys you have ever seen (yes, they look like their mom), Derrick, 14, and Jordan, 11.

Bernd is a runner, running daily to stay in shape (and sane).  Family activities include camping, trips to Central Oregon (where the in-laws live), occasional motorcycle and 4-wheeler riding, snowboarding and some traveling.  He says that he's a kid at heart and truly enjoys growing up all over again with his boys.  He volunteers for junior high and high school youth ministries at his church, West Linn youth football, West Linn High School snowboard team and Western Packaging Association.

Bernd says that he truly enjoys the group of people he works with here at Indepak.  "It's a unique (in a very good way) and fun place to work."

Co-worker comments:
"Bernd is a very good production manager.  He is also a nut!  He has a great sense of humor and caring personality."

"Even though Bernd is the #1 Prankster in the company, he makes working fun!  I appreciate that Bernd demonstrates a sincere concern for his employees and is totally dedicated to Indepak.  But I don't know if we could stand it if there were a bunch of "little Bernd's" around here - we'd be laughing too much!"

"There's nothing not nice I can say about Bernd.  His dedication and determination for customer satisfaction go unmatched.  He's full of mischief and keeps everyone here at Indepak alert and wondering...what's around the corner!??!  He's a pleasure to work with and a lot of fun to go 'boarding with!"
