Indepak Human Health & Environmental Proactiveness Policy

Indepak is an environmentally responsible company.  We have received conservation awards for leading-edge actions to protect the environment.  We are proactive in air emission standards and well below the strict limits imposed in our metropolitan area.  We recycle our process water and use the extracted heat during the Winter months to heat our production facility.  We partner with our local power company to save electricity by purchasing energy efficient motors and lighting. 

We intend to be the leader in our industry with respect to the elimination of human safety/health issues and environmental hazards.  We will do whatever we can to help assure sound practices in manufacturing which meet these objectives.  Our specific position of continuous improvement, both historically and currently, is fivefold:

1. Safe / Healthy Work Environment - We strive to provide a safe work environment for our employees.  This includes a proactive approach of continuous improvement which reaches beyond traditional safety practices.

2. Recycling Efforts - We make every effort to recycle all process scrap, especially scrap from our internal manufacturing processes.

3. Energy Conservation - We continuously seek ways to be as energy efficient as possible.

4. Environmental Impact - We seek ways to avoid practices which have negative impacts on the environment - both locally and globally.  We seek active ways of having a positive impact in our community and beyond.

5. Supplier Selection - We select and maintain suppliers, whenever possible, with operating philosophies similar to our own regarding human health/safety, recycling, energy conservation, and environmental hazards.
