Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  What is Thermoforming ?

A.  Thermoforming is a process which transforms plastic resins (in sheet or roll form) into a desired shape.  Examples of familiar thermoformed parts include: egg containers, hinged fast-food containers, automobile inside door panels, interior liners of refrigerators, and "blister" packs hanging on retail shelves.

Q.  How do I know if thermoforming is the right process for my part ?

A.   Whether thermoforming is the optimum process depends on many factors.  It is not always easy to determine the best manufacturing process quickly.  However, our specialists are trained to efficiently determine if your part is a likely candidate for thermoforming.  In response to some inquiries, we have quickly determined that another process, or even a different thermoforming company is the best choice.  If we are not able to serve you, we will give you information about companies which might be able to serve your needs.

Q.  What quality level might I expect from Indepak ?

A.  Indepak has been widely recognized for the quality of our output.  Our output includes not only our products, but our commitments to you, our packaging of your products, and all other aspects of your total transaction with us.  For an independent review of quality at Indepak, you might want to read an Oregon Business magazine article about how we produced nearly 100,000,000 parts without a single return from a customer.

Q.  I've been disappointed in missed delivery commitments from previous suppliers.  How well does Indepak meet it's promises ?

A.  Indepak takes great pride in keeping it's commitments.  Once a commitment is made, we do everything possible to keep it.  It has been a rare event in our history that a commitment was not fully honored.  We truly operate under the philosophy of "under commit and over deliver."
